"I needed a lot of work done on my mouth, due to nobody's fault but my own. Both Dr. Patel's (Father and Daughter), the resident Hygienist, and Dr. Alley with their wonderful staff took me in, and slowly but surely I'm back on the road to recovery. High praise to Liz at the front desk, and all of the assistants that really are just wonderful human beings. What a refreshing dentist office to be treated at."
"I had been putting off seeing a dentist due to extensive work I knew was needed. Finally, Broadway Cosmetic Dentistry was recommended and I am so glad I followed up. Dr. Patel is a marvel. I experienced no pain, only some mild discomfort and this was after some very extensive work preparatory to getting dentures (5 extractions). Dr. Patel and his entire staff are friendly to the point that I actually look forward to going there."
"The front office staff are warm and friendly, very pleasant atmosphere.
I had several cavities and bonding work to do and Dr. Shim was amazing. She is very gentle, and attentive to your needs. I am a nervous patient but she put me at ease and I didn't feel any pain at all. I give them 5 stars!"

Preventative dental care is one of the most important services we offer our community. That’s because good prevention and professional cleanings can save teeth, protect our patients’ health and reduce their dental care costs. It can also save them from pain and tooth loss.
The better your preventative dental care, including both office visits and at-home care, the more likely it is you can preserve your teeth and attractive smile.
We are careful to hire the very best dental hygienists on our staff because thorough, careful cleanings are so important for dental health. Our hygienists will explain how you can improve your at-home care to have the best chance of avoiding the need for future fillings or other treatment.
For most patients, we recommend twice-yearly visits for cleanings and examinations. During those visits, we will clean away any accumulated tartar on your teeth. Even if you brush and floss your teeth thoroughly at home, tartar will still collect in spots that are hard to reach. We’ll clean those out for you. We’ll also polish your teeth thoroughly. Polishing removes any remaining tartar and eliminates some staining.
This visit also gives us a chance to inspect for any damage to your existing dental work or look for decay while affected areas are still small. We can then schedule you for any further work while the repairs needed are minimal.
In addition to good at-home care, maintaining a twice-yearly schedule of visits is the most important thing you can do to keep your teeth healthy.
As we inspect your teeth, we also examine your gums. If you are suffering from gum disease, you may have noticed symptoms like these:
With prompt treatment of gum disease, you can stop further development of these issues. Eliminating these problems could require a better at-home-care regimen, or, if they are more advanced, special treatment in our office.
Advanced gum disease is called “periodontitis.” We may recommend cleaning out tartar that has accumulated below the gumline. This is called “scaling.” Another treatment called “root planing” smooths the roots of your teeth to eliminate areas where bacteria can thrive.
If you notice any signs of gum disease between your regular prevention or professional cleaning visits, please contact us immediately.
We are very pleased to offer quality dental care in every service we provide, from cleanings and education of our patients all the way through complex extractions or root canal therapy. Please let us know how we can support your dental health and the health of your family. We look forward to providing the best of care for our neighbors in Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow and nearby communities. And if it is time for you to schedule your next appointment for prevention of dental problems, please call us today.
